2002 Brickyard

Home from GMMG!

2002 Was the first year where the Camaro had it's own RPO code designated to be a Brickyard 400 Camaro.
Scott Settlemire ordered all 57 Z7D Camaros to be built all on the same day.
The Z7D code was used in order to force the use of the 35th Anniv wheels as you can see.
Because these cars were ordered with an RPO code, it makes faking a 2002 brickyard 400 Camaro a bit more difficult.

As you can see, Robby Gordon's name is on the hood, each Z7D was assigned a number (2-45) and then each car was assigned to a driver depending on their qualifing position.
Robby Gordon qualified 4rth so he was assigned to our Z7D #4. Enjoy!

GMMG built two (2) 35th PE packages on 2002 Z7Ds, I know for sure at least one is a Phase II (475hp) package which happens to be car #56.
Car #56 was not assigned to a driver but was used as a GM promotional car before it was released to GMMG to do their magic. This is a photo of that car!
